Checking the first of these will isolate the first page from the other master pages, as denoted by the blue First Page Master label that appears at the top-left of that page. The Layout tab of the Ribbon now shows some check boxes for various Master Page Options the ones of interest are the check boxes labeled Differed First Page and Different Odd & Even Pages (see Figure3). Note the blue Master label becomes visible at top-left of each pagea reminder that these are masters and not the document itself. When you’re finished, click the Master Pages tab at bottom-right to begin editing the masters. You’ll need to add at least two pages if you want to create a first page master and separate masters for odd- and even-numbered pages.
